FONTHILL GIFFORD, WILTSHIRE

This had been the gardener’s cottage in the kitchen gardens serving Fonthill House. To one side of the stone house was a substantially built but very ugly brick-built extension. Demolishing this and an equivalent section of brick walls on the opposite side produced enough material to build the two brick wings.
