LODGE ON DARTMOOR

When my client bought this estate, the last thing he wanted to do was to vacate the estate manager and his family from the estate house. We were asked to convert a derelict hostel on the estate into a suitable dwelling, but we had to keep within the existing envelope. The house is characterised by a very high degree of insulation and an intentionally non-opening picture window on the windward corner. This property is situated at 1300 feet above sea level.
